In my last two blogs, we’ve been on a journey of change together, and today, I’m sharing the final step: setting a goal.
But not the way you might have it in the past.
Previously, your goals might have sounded like this: “I’m going on Keto to lose 20 lbs by summer.”
It comes from controlling energy – a transactional approach of ‘do this, then get that.’
Yet, achieving it demands that you use force and willpower.
Let’s shift that.
When setting your goals, consider the journey.
What are you feeling now that will feel different when you lose 20 lbs?
Will you feel more energy? More confidence?
What do you really want underneath the weight loss?
With this, you can create changes now. If you want more energy, it’s likely you already have ideas of things you can do to attain it.
Get more sleep, eat more veggies, take a walk – can you feel the weight of change lifting already?
You can trust that actions like getting more sleep, making healthier food choices, and gentle movement contribute not just to weight loss but also to heightened energy levels.
This approach saves you from the overwhelming and exhausting cycle of attempting to tackle 20 different tasks to lose weight, only to find yourself still overwhelmed and exhausted in the end.
If you want lasting change, you’ve got to do it differently this time.
No one has time to lose the last 10, or 20, or 30 lbs over and over again.
Set your goals in this way, and it will become the last time you do weight loss.
