It kills me to see people struggle with weight loss. I’ve made it my mission to fight against the culture of dieting and create a new one.
Here’s why diets fail.
They tell you that to be successful, you need to be perfect.
Eliminate the foods you like, then do exercise you hate. Willpower, right?
And while you’re at it, forget all of the real-life challenges you face, like worrying about work and the kids, taking care of someone who’s sick, or the deep-seated belief that your body is against you.
Diets create the illusion of all or nothing, black or white, good or bad.
Diets tell you to push through, no matter what.
They tell you to follow programs and listen to experts instead of listening to your own body.
They tell you that to be successful you need to be perfect.
This is the secret: consistency does not mean perfection.
Perfection keeps you stuck in cycles of all or nothing.
Perfection creates confusion and the need to know the answers before you start.
If you want to be consistent, you have to let go of perfection. It doesn’t mean following a plan to a T or doing grueling workouts every day no matter how you feel.
Consistency means following through on the little things, over and over again. It means deciding what you want for yourself and making a little progress every day. It’s making one change at a time and building on it.
Most importantly, consistency is forgiving yourself when you fall and gently helping yourself get back up.
Consistency creates long-term results. Consistency supports learning from mistakes and looking for answers inside of you.
I teach consistency. I teach you to show up for yourself, even when life gets hard. Especially when life gets hard.
I teach the science of weight loss with the art of mind-body connection. You become the expert of your body and stop looking outside of yourself for the answers.
Caring for your body and finding strength in your health is a life-long journey, not a six-week plan.
Creating consistent change with intention while listening to your body… that’s where the magic happens. That’s when you get results and keep them.
